  2. I loved Starry River of the Sky and one day, I'd like to reread it and the other two Grace Lin books that go with it. And I should take a page out of your book and read Out of My Mind, still sitting on the shelf. I can't wait to see what you think of it.

  6. Ooh, I love the idea of an Author spotlight - I have yet to read Grace Lin's novels, although I make use of her Ted Talk in my PD workshops and in my teaching. I just borrowed The Bad Seed from our library and really looking forward to reading it.

  9. What a great list of books. I am currently reading Where the Mountain Meets the Moon to my 3rd graders. Out of My Mind is one of my favorite books because it was the first book my son every recommended to me.

  10. Your post reminds me that I haven't yet Starry River of the Sky or When the Sea Turned to Silver, despite really enjoying Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. I have enjoyed Grace Lin's Year of the Dog series, though and all Ling and Ting books. Great choice for an author spotlight!
